Capcom delays LP2, SSFIV, MH3
Avoids Q1 2010 like the autumn.
Capcom has delayed the release of Lost Planet 2, Super Street Fighter IV and Monster Hunter Tri.
Those three, as well as Dead Rising 2, will now be "spread across all four quarters" of fiscal 2011, which begins 1st April.
Why? "[To] avoid competing with the major titles the other companies plan to introduce," explained an investor document.
Capcom's early 2010 is not barren, however, as Dark Void blasts off on 15th January and Tatsunoko vs Capcom arrives on 29th January.
But the publisher appears to be hedging its bets, halving performance expectations for jetpack shooter Dark Void down from 1.3m sales to 600,000 by March.

Launching big titles like the ones mentioned deserve a heavy marketing push, and obviously a lot of other big publishers are in the same boat, so why compete with them over prime advertising spots? Tthink about promotion on XBL/PSN as well as TV and print media.

But out of those three titles, the one I want the most is Super Street Fighter IV. But I can understand why they want to delay those games, & it's because they don't want to compete with the other big named titles out there that will overshadow them, like FFXIII. With SSFIV delayed, I'm hoping that they'll be able to balance out the characters & such, & not rush the game out the door.

I would normally agree with you, but i wonder, because companies have delayed many games from last year, i wonder if summer will be chock full because Jan-March is already packed. I mean how many games are just Take 2 publishing this year, it seems like alot
