C&C3 360 to support camera
Watch them sweat.
Gone are the cries of "I wish I'd seen his face," as EA announces camera support for the 360 version of Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars.
"You can now literally see the face of your opponent while you decimate him in Xbox Live battles. Plus, for the winner, the Spotlight cam gives you an unchallenged ten seconds of fame to let your enemy know exactly how you feel about your victory."
We know how we'd celebrate: it involves a fairy-liquid bottle and three ripe bananas. What form will your victory dance take, readers?
As well as camera support, EA is offering 360 gamers exclusive multiplayer Capture the Flag and Siege modes. The gameplay and user interface are going to be built from the ground up, which we expect will be very similar to the control system in The Battle for Middle-Earth II.
The PC version of the game will launch on the 28th March, with the console release following later in the year.
Meanwhile you can see what executive producer for the game, Mike Verdu, had to say when we recently caught up with him.
Alternatively you can tank-rush over to the game's website for more information.

I just don't get the appeal of watching someone else stare at a screen.

(I often don't bother even getting the voice comms headset out during online games as I find it more of a painful distraction than a help most of the time. Generally only when I know the people I'm playing with/against will I use it).

Turns out you need to go online to create yourself on it...
Works great as a PC webcam though

I got one for R6. If you don't see your face very often in R6, Der_tolle_Emil, then you're definitely not using cover enough! I use it all the time so my sexy (if somewhat sinister) visage is onscreen regularly! I must admit, I was VERY impressed with the quality of the live vision camera, it does work incredibly well in R6 if you manage to take good photos/get someone to help you

Well... maybe in Europe, seeing as EA is the greatest thing ever - according to sales at least?

It sounds like most of you are embarassed to see and be seen. If you had actual friends you'd find it can be a lot of fun.
