Over 5000 new questions promised.

New PS3 title Buzz! Quiz World is out now, Sony has informed us. (UPDATE: This story previously said it would be released on 10th November, but that's the US release date - the game is already available in shops in Europe. Apologies for the error.)

The new instalment in the popular quiz series stars host Buzz once again. There are new customisation options for selecting your favourite round types and quizzes, plus over 5000 new questions. You can also access user-generated quizzes via MyBuzz and download quiz packs. Any packs you've already bought for QuizTV will work with Quiz World.

Extra rounds include Over the Edge, where contestants who get answers wrong are turfed into a pit of goo. The Sofa vs. Sofa mode has been expanded to work with eight players.

The PSP version of Buzz! Quiz World is still in development, but there's no word on a release date yet.

I liked the last buzz quiz but my main gripe was the order and number of the game modes. It should have had a lot more modes and make the order random - does anyone know if this problem is solved in World?

It's got quite a bit more modes / customisation than Quiz TV, so you can choose long / short games, choose rounds etc. Feels more 'complete' than the older game. It's more of the same really, but I like it.

QUICK QUESTION!!! Has the cr@ppy "all that apply" round gone in multiplayer - it was such as waste of space / time! (you could see everyone else's answers - pointless!) Thanks!!!

It is only �18 but like Gregolution said it was frustrating to to see the exact same rounds in the exact same order every single time and it puts my girlfriend off from playing more than 1 game at a time. Plus she wants actually prizes like in the PS2 games. I'll probably but it after I've played the Brain of the UK one abiy as I only got that the other week.

We really listened to people's feedback on the last Buzz! game when making this one. Lots of different ways to play through the game; some fair, some unfair. Bigger online modes. Voice chat.
