Buzz! patched with Facebook support

Climb the wall.

Relentless Software has announced the release of a patch for Buzz!: Quiz World that adds in-game Facebook publishing features.

The patch should be live now and allows players to publish info about what they've just done in the game once a session is finished.

You can see example screenshots of how this works over on the PlayStation Blog.

Relentless has included language support for English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish, Polish, Czech and Croatian according to the blog.

Awesome. Something else that's going straight to the "Hide" column.

No seriously. Quit it with the Facebook spam. Gamertags and PSN accounts. OK. Everything else. KNOCK IT OFF.

@RobotRocker I couldn't agree more. Facebook and Twitter intergration seem to be the 'Buzz' things to do at the moment, sorry I couldn't resist!

In all seriousness though, does anyone actually like or want this? I mean we have trophy and achievement comparisons available on both consoles already, not to mention the high score and stat tracking tables already in most games which allow you to keep up to speed with how your score, kill to death ratio or lap times compare to your friends.

Agreed. I'm not doing your marketing for you game developers, you're supposed to do that yourselves. Spend you time making games please.

So you get to upload stats from games of Buzz to show all your friends? Perhaps this way Facebook will be pumped full of so many stats that it'll explode like an over-inflated hot water bottle.

Well not much interest to actually use it longterm but it'll probably get me playing it again to see it out of curiosity.

If people feel compelled enough to post pointless stats about Farmville and Mafia Wars, why shouldn't people be able to post Buzz! game stats?

Its a family /social game, I think the intention is for family or friends who have played a game, to post the results online and check each others profiles later. Do some gloating as a bit of fun. =)

It doesn't work very well. With online games that you win Sofa Vs Sofa with local players coming first and second it reports your team mate came LAST. Who wants that broadcast all over your FB profile?
