Buy a real Companion Cube
Weighted for your affection.
Valve has said it will be selling a real life cuddly Weighted Companion Cube in its store soon.
A sneak peak of the loveable block appeared on Steam last Friday, although no price was mentioned and it was listed only as "coming soon".
You will also be able to snaffle up a pair of cubes to hang from your rear-view mirror in your car, presumably so that other motorists can honk affectionately at you as they zoom past.
The Weighted Companion Cube plays a starring role in puzzle game Portal, and forms a strong emotional attachment with you but doesn't speak whatever it says.
Portal joined Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode 1, Half-Life 2: Episode 2 and Team Fortress 2 in The Orange Box. If you have a 360, PS3 or PC and haven't already picked it up, then do so now.

"Like aliens? UFO Afterlight is available for 50% off this weekend!"
Shouldn't that be "Hate aliens and enjoy shooting them repeatedly in the head? UFO Afterlight is available for 50% off this weekend!"
In other news: that's my Christmas shopping then.
Edit for crappy typing.

Actually, you won't. It's against the law in this country these days to have stuff dangling in front of your windscreen. If you hang dice, or indeed weighted companion cubes, there, the police will pull you over and ask you to remove them.

For I know that I'm the only Portal player so far THAT DIDN'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THE STUPID CUBE.
I mean come on guys, it's a crate. I don't care if it has a heart on it. I spent that whole level waiting for something cool to happen (that didn't involve all the cool stuff in every other level.) I was robbed.

Someone needs to tell all the Sikhs that park outside the Gurdwara along the road from me that it's illegal to hang stuff on the mirror. Most cars have at least 3 bits of religious paraphernalia dangling distractingly from the mirror stalk. I expect the only reason they don't get pulled over is that their BMWs and Mercedes have tinted rear windows so the cops don't see it (or are just too scared of racial harrassment complaints to enforce the law).
