I need to re-visit Burnout Paradise. They have really got their shit together with DLC, and are showing everyone else how its done.
Free, and frequent, and good. I rented it ages ago and it was good fun for the most part, but I haven't touched it since they added motorbikes. Time for another rental methinks. |

That Jansen is awesome. :) I heard about it on the 1up yours podcast, looks wonderful.
MotorStorm 2 has stolen my attention away from Burnout though, for now. I just got the Time Sink trophy on MotorStorm, and had my first splitscreen action this weekend, with a girl no less. MotorStorm 2 is just so lovely. It has exposed, to me, what Burnout Paradise lacks - the tracks you race on in Burnout lack the polish of proper trackdesign. |

Time for another rental methinks." edit: i really don't mean that personally, Kanga, as you are one of the more reasonable folks around, but what you said just sounded so absurd to me... :) ROFL You're applauding them for their savvy, when you won't even buy the game! That tells me that they're approach is a total failure, or you are cheap. ;) If you think it's so freakin' awesome, maybe you should let them know with your wallet? Come on, man!

Shame I can't get into this, as the Burnout series is one of my faves.
I'll try out the cars, as I did the bikes, but I expect I'll be left with the same bad taste of being unable to race due to the map and controls. Route planning on a static map while playing Burnout just isn't fun gameplay IMHO. Sorry Criterion! |
