Burnout Paradise PSN for Europe too News

PlayStation 3 News by Tom Bramwell

18 August, 2008

Burnout Paradise will be released as a downloadable PSN title in Europe as well as the US, Eurogamer has been informed.

Last week Criterion announced Burnout Paradise PSN for the US PlayStation Store, but made no mention of its European equivalent.

In fact, the specific use of "US PlayStation Store" was unusual for the PlayStation Blog, which announced the update.

Not to worry though, because a Sony source has confirmed to Eurogamer that the download will be released in Europe as well.

There's no word yet on a price point (it will cost USD 30 across the pond), or an exact release date other than the autumn target identified last week.

Burnout Paradise for PSN will also be bundled with all of the free downloadable content Criterion has added to the game since its release in January.

That means loads of new game modes and tasks to complete thanks to recent Bogart and Cagney patches, along with the contents of Davis, due out next month, which introduces motorbikes.

@septimus: I'll be very surprised if they do a straight USD-GBP conversion. I'm guessing £19.99 at best. Would love to be wrong though!

I doubt that it will be £14.99, more likely £24.99, same price as GT5 Prologue Demo.

£20 - £25 Following the Siren Warhawk and GT5 pricing policy, with it being $30 i would of hoped they would go for the £20 option

Sweet I've decided I'm gonna dive in and get this. Nearly got it at the weekend but decided to wait to see if the download comes to Europe - Got Ferrari Challenge instead, another great racer!

@bad09

You like everything with wheels on it:p (just kidding)

I'm wondering if I can't just find it on disc for the same price somewhere. The disk space is getting precious already.

It'll probably be £17.99, as that way, they can still claim fair play.

Would be nice to have this sitting on my HDD, but it's not worth buying again just for that. Would be good if somehow they allowed existing users to install or something like that.
