I suspect it is being released on PC due to lower than expected sales on PS3 and 360, they (Criterion/EA) are looking to recoup development costs...

Yep - they should consider finishing their games before releasing them in future.

I like that the game is slick and contains no game ruining bugs, but the gameplay is broken with a static minimap and no ability to jump to previously visited events and key locations.

These are the two reasons why my copy is gathering dust waiting for the update patches to finish the game development.

Playtesting? Try using normal people who like driving games, rather than conditioned gimps who accept anything.

The cars seem to look better than in the 360 and ps3 versions... from what i remember anyway, my copy too is gathering dust for pretty much the exact same reasons.

wth is SSAO? it's so unnoticable they had to point out the differences, and even then it took me a while to see anything. i'm sure it will be a huge improvement to the gameplay though.
