Burnout Paradise Bogart patch recalled News

Xbox 360 PlayStation 3 News by Robert Purchese

23 April, 2008

Criterion will be recalling the "Bogart" software update for Burnout Paradise on Xbox 360 so it can iron-out some frame rate problems.

The developer aims to have all affected patches by Friday, and will replace them with a revised update in about a week's time. Concrete dates will follow on its site.

"Bogart" was expected tomorrow on 360 and PS3. Unfortunately there was no word on whether this issue will delay the PS3 version.

The patch offers a variety of tweaks such as fixing head-on takedowns and eradicating "unfair" low-speed takedowns.

Pop over to our Burnout Paradise gamepage to find out more.

Same old Paradise story... start a patch, fail, have to spend ages tediously backtracking so you can patch again...

Is it just me or does this article not really make sense? "Recalling" patches? They aim to have them all by Friday...?

If you install that patch, you'll regret it. Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow. But soon, and for the rest of your life.

Criterions site still has a counter for the patch, about an hours time. Note is states this is the ETA for the Playstation 3 patch.

It's like CoD4 in reverse.

So they are going to bring out a patch, to unpatch the patch and un fix what it didnt fix. Quality.

I guess when they say challenge everything they do mean everything :-)

I think they should rename the 360 to Patch Box 360 :-)

"jump directly to previously discovered locations / events? "

No .. same reason for the "missing" retry option.
