Burnout Cagney patch for 360 today

Only a month late.

Criterion is finally wheeling out the free Cagney update for Burnout Paradise on Xbox 360.

The patch, nearly a month late, will be bolted on at some point today.

Codename Cagney adds Marked Man, Stunt Run and Road Rage game modes to Burnout Paradise, plus the Live Page calendar for keeping track of developer-led events. There are also new cars, liveries, 70 extra Challenges and a heap of technical changes inside.

Burnout Paradise patch Davis is scheduled to follow next month. It will introduce lovely motorbikes plus a day-night cycle to the open world racer.

PS3 and Xbox 360 versions should, fingers crossed, launch together this time.

First! Haven't done that in a while.

It's rubbish if you've not got Gold, most of the good bits are online race modes. I do like the race calender screen though, and if you do like online Marked Man should be fantastic :)
I suppose you do get a hippy style van though. I do like the hippy stylings, and there will be plenty of other liveries I've not bothered looking at.

I think it's awesome that this game gets supported so much by the developers. I still haven't bought this but I have already seen it in the second hand bins so I will definetly get it quite soon. I just didn't want to pay full price for a game when I don't have much time on my hands anyway.

Yes I downloaded mine this morning.

Not a lot of offline changes - some smoothing in the airport, new menus at startup with stats and stuff. Didn't check the liveries and haven't had time to go online with it - probably won't be on until later this evening, but Burnout Friday is indeed a Go.

@Der_tolle_Emil well that's an interesting side-point, publishers have always complained about the second hand market, but with games like this, it's another potential revenue stream as every owner will want to get the updates. So imagine if they weren't free then a publisher/ developer could sell multiple copies of every update per one retail copy of the game.

Definately the way to go then is to sell a core of a game for free, like that gran turismo game (although that wasn't free), and sell carpacks, trackpacks, featurepacks seperately.

    Yawn.

Glad they fixed the backwards right-stick camera.

    Now for finishing the rest:

    - Rotating minimap.

    - Place target on map ala GTA

    - Jump to previously visited locations in single player

    Cheers!

Dicks! They've only altered the Y axis of the right stick camera.

Oh well. I can't blame anyone for not bothering with this due to silly software annoyances...
