Bungie upset it had to cancel E3 reveal
Disappointed at "publisher" decision.
Bungie boss Harold Ryan has expressed his disappointment at having to hold back revealing what the studio has been working on.
"For the last several months, we've been building toward a reveal of something exciting that Bungie is working on. We were looking forward to sharing that with our fan community during the week of E3. However, those plans were just changed by our publisher," wrote Ryan on the Bungie website.
"We realise that many of our fans are disappointed by this turn of events; members of the Bungie team share that disappointment."
He made no mention of the reveal being the Halo game Xbox 360 boss Don Mattrick talked about earlier, nor of Microsoft being the "publisher", although we can probably assume it is.
Mattrick, if you remember, said the Halo game was held back from the Microsoft E3 media briefing because the conference was already "loaded" with content.
Harold Ryan went on to promise us a full unveiling "when the right time comes".

Still 2007 seems to me the best year for games ever and 2008 has been good so far as well. I think 2009 will be awesome again.
So far what excites me most about this E3 is the addition of Saturn games to the EG GameDB. I wonder what platform they'll be announced for.

Nintendo clearly thought MS and/or Sony would announce something considering their pre-E3 reveal of Motion Plus.
Perhaps, after seeing Sony had nothing to show, MS decided to hold off on their Halo + motion controller as there was no thunder for them to steal...

Halo Sailor... I'm guessing this is Master Chief travelling in search of dark treacherous caves and fighting off one eyed snakes?

Microsoft have been snuggling up to Sqaure Enix for a while now so even though the E3 announcement was a shock to most people its not a recent done deal. Bungie were told last night what they were planning wouldnt go ahead, had FF13 been a factor they would of known sooner and wouldnt of started the hype.
It also wouldnt have anything to do with a poor showing from Nintendo or Sony either, that has to be the most retarded thing I keep reading on sites today. The whole E3 has been a bit meh this year, its a bit meh most years they need to bring back the booth babes to distract everyone from the games. For MS, Nintendo and Sony E3 is about getting one up over the rivals, so does it make sense to hold back on something good? If what Bungie had to offer was so amazing and fantastic there is no way on earth MS would hold it back, it just wouldnt make sense considering the whole gaming world is focused on E3 at the moment. Yes there has been some good games on show but nothing new we hadnt seen before, a new Bungie title would of certainly given MS teh win.
So the only possible reason it could of been canceled is MS took a look at it last night and decided it wasnt good enough to be put on show

M8 I do agree with you but i dont think that if Bungie themselves think they had to show us what they wanted so much during this E3 that wasn't really good. Me, personally I cant wait to find out wtf is this all about. Though it could be something that will turn me off like hell and then instead never expect anything from Bungie again. I just wish they make a new fucking Halo soon... For the old time's shake.
