Can't be long until the other ones are free now?
Oh hang on... I traded Halo 3 in because it just wasn't getting any playtime. Shields and stuff seemed like hard work, after having switched to CoD4... but the wealth of Forge and Replay stuff in H3 means that one day, perhaps, I will pick it up again if there is ever a 'quiet time' when there aren't any other games to play. Perhaps after an Apocalypse or something. |

People still play Halo 3? I'm surprised anyone downloaded those other maps... 800 points for 3 pretty normal maps is an outraaage.

bdc: It's because it's popular. Basically, whenever anything gets sufficiently popular, a mixture of unreachable expectations brought about by massive overhype, and the fact that some people just think bashing anything popular somehow makes them superior to anyone that enjoys it, causes otherwise rational and balanced people to start trolling it every time it's mentioned in the news.

Nithron, that brought a tear to my eye, I don't think you could be more spot on.
As for Halo 3, I've just got back into it with my mates again, and how I love it so. And this map looks cool, a little different from the rest, and if the others in the pack are as different looking it might just be worth the asking price. |

Worth pointing out that in the last map pack, Standoff is probably a top five or even top three all-time Halo map, Rat's Nest is better than most of the original lineup, and Foundry is decent enough in its original configuration and a hell of a lot of fun in Forge, also giving us the wonderful Griffball.

the opposite in fact. BECAUSE I have such a good income, I hardly have enough game time. Ergo, I need to distribute my time over games. Ergo I'm playing COD4 now and will pop back to halo 3 when the maps become free. There simply is no point for me in buying them when they become free because there is so much to do and so little time. |

It's the same here. I can quite easily afford them, but I just feel that 800 points for just 3 maps is a little more than I am prepared to pay for DLC on a game I'm just not playing right now. It's like I could afford a pint at £4, but that doesn't mean I'll pay that much for one.
