Broken Sword for iPad released
Director's Cut HD for five quid.
The iPad version of Revolution Software's Broken Sword: Director's Cut HD has just gone live on the iTunes App Store.
The app costs £4.99 from the UK version of the store and you can grab it through these handsome blue words.
The 558MB download is your gateway to a sexy higher-resolution version of the classic adventure game, in which Nico Collard travels to Paris and finds herself drawn into conspiracy.
"This really is the definitive version," Revolution's Charles Cecil said in a statement. "Rather than rush the game out for the US launch, we have taken the time to get it just right, and with the higher resolution graphics, and the addition of the digital comic as a bonus feature, there's a lot of new content to enjoy."
Broken Sword: Director's Cut was released for iPhone and iPod Touch in February and is still available for £2.99. It's a 353MB download.
Check out our Broken Sword: Director's Cut iPhone review for more on what to expect.
The iPad itself is out now in the US and is available internationally on 28th May. Check out Digital Foundry's iPad hardware test for more on whether it's worth four zillion quid or whatever.

Don't like iPad? Just don't buy it!
Simple as that.
If it's will bound to fail under it's weights of flaws then it will, but if it's gonna be a reasonable success then Apple got it right and we don't.

Not sure I really understand your 'last gen' comment. Perhaps - and this is is just a suggestion - you've actually never used one and have no fucking idea what you're talking about?
I wonder if you hate all popular brands, or have reserved some special loathing for Apple based entirely other people's opinions you've read online and decided to join in with. You're the kind of retard that makes me want to buy two iPads, just to make your undersized brain boil just that little bit more...

And can we expect a review? Considering the iPad is being hyped as the perfect point & clicker platform, it might be interesting to see how well ports of oldies work. And the review's comment thread could help our ignore lists grow strong and healthy (see above).

Just Apple. But please, go ahead and buy two of those retarded products that are berift of decent features and has shit wireless. But atleast you can touch the screen and rub the apple logo. hey whilst you at it, better go upgrade to a ATI 4850 on your mac to play some steam games for £300 lol

It must eat you up inside that Apple is LEADING the mobile industry and everyone else is playing catchup and copying Apples designs. Over a million units shifted in its first month, the iPad will be as huge a success as the iPod and iPhone are.
Maybe you are just a poor penny-less pikey and can't afford Apple kit, whatever the reason for your venomous posts you are probably better off trolling elsewhere.

Yet you idiots still buy it lol
But yeah, phones... no thanks, I like to make calls and send texts, nothing else. Plus white ear phones and wearing them like a fashion accessory does not appeal to me. I guess those ultra thin ipods will fit in your skinny jeans though

What really matters is this Director's Cut version of the original Broken Sword is the mutt's nuts. Got it on Wii and it hasn't aged since its' original release one bit. The new scenes really help it instead of feeling tacked on. If you have dished out on an Ipad, I'd say this was a worthy investment.

On topic, shame it isn't a universal app. Not buying it twice.
