    Er I've owned one for a while now and I don't remember the first big year at all. Must have just wafted by under all that 360 and Wii stuff.......

    oh come on evilfoxhound listing all the PS3 exclusives without bothering to be particularly selective with them isn't a convincing argument.

    MGS4 is marmite, the people loving it were the people who loved the other MGS games, didn't really bring in any new fans.

    resistance 2 was average.

    motorstorm was fun but nothing mind blowing. It wasn't a "can't live without it" exclusive.

    wipeout was as an, albeit pretty, port of a psp game. It's always been a more mans F-zero and still is.


    There were some great multi-platform games out last year, and I prefered playing those on my 360 and the 360 controller than I do my PS3.

    2008 was a freaking great year for the PS3, penhalion is shit stirring as usual.

    Doesn't help that evilfoxhound is as retarded.

    Agreed, 2008 was a great year for PS3 owners.

    Anyway, Uncharted 2 looks incredible. Loved the first, the looks promising. Hope that is co-op, it'd be all sorts of awesome.

    2008 was deffo a great year for the ps3. Its just easier not to see it if you havnt cought up the money yet.

    Sorry but got to agree with penhalion with the exception of Valkyria Chronicles. This is my GOTY and nothing on the Xbox even comes close.

    I didnt like resistance or MGS, but thats not the point, the point is last year the PS3 had a great choice of game exclusives for different genres. It was a great year for the PS3 last year with regards to choice. Personally Wipeout and LBP were the highlights, still loving LBP (well when i get the chance to play as I cant get the kids off the game).

    Looks nice. Am looking forward to this game. If its story is just as ridiculous (but well executed) as the first one with as tight gameplay, it's a must-buy for me. :)

    Anyway, I loved the first Uncharted.. not really a Tomb Raider clone as many claims, but more a shooter with some platforming thrown in for variation. At least as fun as Gears IMO... just lacks the oompf and big guns :)
    Bring on Uncharted 2... and fix the tearing this time!

    Anyway, nice screensots. Hmm, so I guess thats your female companion this time around. Tidy. (Even without seeing her face).
    Hopefully it wont be a total co-op game. It might work for Gears, but 2-player platforming wouldnt be much fun. With any luck she'll be there for a third of the game - which is how they usually do these things.

    I think the problem is that too many people on here read "Its been a good year for console X" as "Its been a bad year for console Y"

    Uncharted 2 looks good by the way*


    *By this I do not mean that Fable 2 and/or Gears 2 don't look good.

    Quick request EG, can we get some sorta karma system? Or maybe you can vote individual comments up and down?

    Then we could end up with some presets, so don't show comments from people with negative karma, or hide comments with negative score.

    Would make it easier than ignoring the usual trolls, and would also hopefully drill it into some peoples heads that noone cares they plan to "dust off their console x when game y comes out", or that "console x has raped their cat and they never plan to buy from company z ever again".

    This is looking fantastic. The texture are SWEET! great saturation, not a bit of graaaaaaay :) All in all, really looking forward to this one.
