Braid for PC by March 2009 News

PC Xbox 360 News by Robert Purchese

23 December, 2008

A PC version of sumptuous platform-puzzler Braid will be with us between February and March 2009.

A late 2008 release was originally planned, according to the game's blog, but avoiding the holiday onslaught of power-titles seemed to make sense.

The post also says talks are ongoing about a Mac version, which, if they're fruitful, would launch not long after the PC offering.

As for PS3, the future remains uncertain; Braid creator Jonathan Blow is keen, but has heard nothing from Sony.

Braid launched on Xbox Live Arcade during a strong August line-up, but still managed to be the brightest gem in the digital box.

With a hand painted look, time-manipulation mechanic and tinkling musical accompaniment, this puzzling platformer commanded top marks from Eurogamer. You, our readers, have just voted the game as your eighth favourite of the entire year.

Head over to our Braid review to find out more.

Every single month is a strong line-up month in XBox world. We can't say next year is the year..., every month is the month!

Shame it ran into 2009. I was going to get it for my dad for christmas but may end up getting Peggle Nights now.

Def one of my highlights of 2008, my brain still hurts thinking about it.

Hm, this is moving dangerously close into "too little, too late" territory. I've patiently checked their website for months on a regualr basis, and all the time it said "2008". Anticipation doesn't last forever.

If it had had a song at the end as good as Still Alive it would have been number one.

Great news. Let's hope Fable II also gets a PC date soon.

Great games minus shit hardware FTW.

I'd be very surprised if it's not released within the next 6 months.

Come on Sony, get your arse in gear and get this game on PSN. Seriously, what right minded person would delay getting this game onto their system?

I've got a 360 but really hate the points=money thing, and Braid almost tempted me to bother with the faff, so this would be a day 1 download for me if it went on PSN.

Sony are fucking stupid.

This game should have been on PS3 AND PSP via PSN by now.

Hmmm i won't be surprised to see Fable 2 out on the PC. especially when windows 7 is around the corner and MS will use some games to sell its OS
