Bowling, Beats on US PSN

Plus high-def GTA IV trailer.

Sony's latest US update for the PlayStation Network's PS3 and PSP stores introduce a few interesting bits, including the Sixaxis-controlled High Velocity Bowling (USD 9.99) for PS3 and Sony London's downloadable PSP MP3-playing rhythm-action game Beats (USD 4.99), which you may arrived on the European PSP Store at launch.

Other PS3 Store highlights include a 720p downloadable version of the new Grand Theft Auto IV trailer, a new MotorStorm Falfer Domino vehicle (USD 0.99) and the Folklore add-ons we mentioned yesterday (USD 3.99 each, 5.99 the pair).

Meanwhile, Black Sabbath tracks are also available for Rock Band, there's a TimeShift multiplayer demo, and those of you collecting the PSone games (which work on PS3 and PSP) can grab Wild Arms for USD 5.99. The PSP Store also gains wallpapers for Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters and LocoRoco - the latter sporting a holiday theme (presumably not "too many football matches at once" though).

Check out the Sony US blog for more on the PS3 and PC PSP Store updates.

Europes PSN? A complete mess like always!

Thanks Sony and Nintendo for shafting us like always!

Sometimes i think these companies don't deserve the success their getting in Europe...espicially a certain company with a plumber as their mascot.

How about we just give up on buying your products, would you like that? No, i didn't think so.

Haven't a lot of us already given up on buying PS3s?

The Euro PSN is behind as always, but what with the console being region free and it being really easy to access everything in the American store, I can't say I'm too bothered. There's still more worthwhile content in there (Warhawk, Loco Roco, Stardust HD, Everyday Shooter, Gripshift, Tekken) than either of the other console's equivalent services.

Look at it like this though, Europe aren't meant to go on the US PSN Store! Say if you couldn't at all, i would say Europe's PSN is rubbish out of the two.

Out of the two yes, but what if you just had the one? So some games take a little longer because they need to be localised. It's not THAT bad - as said, to me still the best of the three. It's just because we can compare, that we do.

Wild Arms is available for download there?! I hope to see that around these parts soon, or I'll be quite unhappy.

Are reviews on the cards for Beats and HV Bowling?
  • Steroyd #7 4 years ago

If there was going to be a review on beats, they would have done one ages ago on the Euro launch, instead of the US one.

Unless EG really is USgamer. :)

"In Europe PS3 doesn't even need games to sell" (they eat everything we do, no questions asked! In US we gotta work hard though.)

    So true...
