Bowie Rock Band tracks up

One original, two covers.

As made famous earlier this month, EA has slung up yet more downloadable content for Rock Band.

This week's offerings are from David Bowie, and come in the form of the David Bowie Pack 01 on Xbox Live Marketplace, which costs 440 Microsoft Points (GBP 3.74 / EUR 5.12).

It should also appear on the PlayStation 3 Store, although we can't check whether it's up at the moment because of cloud cover/ducks. New content typically arrives on PSN on Thursdays.

So what's in the pack? Well, 400 Points gets you the proper version of Moonage Daydream, along with covers (aw) of Heroes and Queen Bitch, or "Queen ***" as Microsoft's calling it. If you prefer to buy them individually, they're 160 MS Points (GBP 1.36 / EUR 1.86) apiece.

Thanks to the magic of pre-announcements, we can also safely predict that next week's content will be Black Sabbath tracks, followed by some punk a week later and some others (ooh, Iron Lung) as we edge further towards Christmas.

Rock Band is out now in the US on PS3 and 360 and will be released in Europe in Q1 2008.

Heroes is a cover? One sale lost then, which is a shame.

DLC ready so quick after the game launched makes one think if they couldn't have stuck them on the disc...
But then this does give you choice...
    Metallica pack!...
Stuck on One in GHIII at the moment...

Also, anyone notice that some notes in GHIII are lighted? What's that about?
(And no, not the star power notes)

    Queen ***?

Do you have to sing a beep in the chorus?

Why exactly is EURO gamer telling us this?

I suppose there's not much else to talk about right now.

It's absolutely EVIL that we have to wait so long for Rock Band over here. I hope Activision makes the most of the headstart and floods us with sexy DLC in the meantime.

I reckon GH3 is a great game with a far more - to me anyway - appealing track list than 2. That said, it has long ways to go before it approaches that of Rock Band's out of the box offerings, let alone its downloadables.

I agree GH3 really needs to ramp up its DLC rate to keep up with RB. Especially considereing that GH3 will have few note charts to do compared to RB's 4 intruments. Also the price aint too bad, just over a quid a song 'sokay.

Eurogamer, you know we can't get these yet! Stop teasing us! :-(
I'm probably not going to get GH3 at all. I played it at a friend's house, and I like it, but it's the same damn thing all over again, and Rock Band seems to be handling the DLC a lot better.

    @Skillian
It doesn't swear in the actual song its only in the title.
