Borderlands DLC to get disc release
Update: first two packs only, next month.
Update: Since we posted this story, 2K Games has been in touch to let us know that the information we were orginally supplied with was incorrect. The disc release will only collect the first two episodes of Borderlands DLC: The Zombie Island of Doctor Ned and Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot. The Secret Armory of General Knoxx will not be included. We're very sorry to have misinformed you.
Original story: 2K Games has told Eurogamer that all of Borderlands' downloadable content to date will be compiled on a disc which will hit shops in the UK on 9th April. The disc will be released for Xbox 360 and PC, with a PS3 version unconfirmed at present.
The publisher wasn't able to tell us the price of the boxed release, but confirmed that it would include The Zombie Island of Doctor Ned (8/10), Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot (8/10) and last week's The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, which we've just published a 9/10 review for.
"The truth is, when it comes to DLC, nobody is doing this stuff as well as Gearbox's team at the moment," we wrote of the latest update to the mad hybrid of RPG and first-person shooter.
We'll have more info on the DLC compilation disc as and when it becomes available.

I could be wrong and maybe game are simply not showing the 3in1 DLC disc or the listing could be old and perhaps what was a double pack is now going to be a triple pack instead.. I might consider £15 for all three but not for two.

Only level 17 atm, but I don't think I'll ever want this game to end.

Is more DLC planned or do we have a Fallout 3 situation with several add-on discs that will eventually be available one day on one single disc?

A word of warning though, it's very stat intensive, not so much in terms of characters and skills but definitely on the equipment side so if you're not keen on comparing stats to find the best weapon for your playstyle or current situation then you might want to consider something else.

Here's hoping for the same deal to appear on the PSN anyway and perhaps a full bundle with all three in the not too distant future.

Do wonder if this means more DLC to come, though. They wouldn't dare put Knoxx on a disc on its own, would they?
