BMW prize-carrot tied to Blur demo

Try the game, win a car. Please?

Activision is dangling a real-life BMW 125i coupé beside the PS3 Blur demo in an effort to drive more attention to the game.

You can win the flashy car by downloading the demo and increasing your in-game rank to five. You'll be automatically entered into a sweepstake when you do so.

The sweepstake runs from 4th to 25th August.

The BMW 125i coupé is the main prize, but copies of the Blur game are up for grabs for runners-up.

You must be 18 years-old or over to take part.

Blur's been out since late May, and the demo available since 14th July. Activision defended Blur sales, stating the game "was not a failure", simply "guilty of coming third in a three-way race [with Split/Second and ModNation Racers]."
