Red Resi 360 pad available separately
Uses the old directional pad, though.
Microsoft has announced that the companion pad for the red, Jasper-endowed Elite console being released as part of the Resident Evil 5 special edition will also be available separately on 13th March.
The pack will contain a 'blood' red pad with a matching Play & Charge Kit. The price has yet to be finalised, but we expect that a guess of around GBP 39.99 wouldn't be too far off the mark.
The pad won't feature the improved d-pad from the limited-edition green pad released alongside last year's Pro Evolution Soccer 2009, a feature bandied about as a possibility for Street Fighter enthusiasts at the time. Resi doesn't place a great deal of demand on the d-pad though, so the functionality probably wasn't deemed necessary.

Come on MS, sort it out. It's so much fun to remind PS3 fanbois that Sony once said 'games are better without rumble' - I don't want them to turn around and remind me of the time Microsoft came up with a new D-Pad and failed to install it in all their pads...

Obviously we will have to wait for the next xbox for that!
Same as Sony decided to go without rumble purely due to licensing reason, I would have preferred MS to swallow their pride and pay royality to Sony or Nintendo for use of their D pad!
