Blizzard Worldwide Invitational News

If you went outside this weekend you may have missed the exciting unveiling of Diablo III at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational event. It hit headlines with a meaty gameplay trailer, screenshots and a cinematic movie.

The revered developer also unleashed glimpses of the fancy armour arriving with World of Warcraft expansion Wrath of the Lich King, plus stills of the hectic action in StarCraft II.

Blizzard sought to put fan worries to rest over the upcoming merger between Activision and Vivendi, too, which is expected to be finalised as Activision Blizzard on 8th July.

I clicked this, hoping for fresh news. Already read it elsewhere. So you can subtract 1 from the "advert banner pot".

(And, yes, im not clever enough to understand "roundup".)

hmmm, most of the armors I can see in the WotLK screenies are rather familiar... The new environments look rather nice though, some nice looking mobs as well.

I did notice no actal release date information has been given for anything..

Player: 'ooo look pritty stuff'
Blizzard: 'Thanks now your gonna buy this right?'
Player: Sure!!! I'll buy it, when you planning on releasing this?'

True... my feeling is that SC2 is pretty much done and will launch before XMas. WotLK will launch a few months later IMHO since they do not want to do two launches at the same time.

WotLK before Xmas (to keep the "one expansion every year"-promise)
