Bizarre prepares for E3

Brandishes new info.

Bizarre Creations has revamped its website and released new information ahead of next week's E3 show in America.

At the top of the pile was news that Live Arcade title Boom Boom Rocket will be treated to downloadable content very soon. The first of the new packs will have five fresh tracks to fire along to, although the musical style is being kept under wraps. Pop over to our Boom Boom Rocket review if you're lost already.

We're also told to expect the unexpected in the form of a surprise announcement for Project Gotham Racing 4. Bizarre pointed out it was hitting all deadlines with the game, which Microsoft will be flashing around in Santa Monica next week. Look out for our thoughts on it soon.

Promising shoot-'em-up The Club will also be at E3, and is apparently nearing completion. To celebrate this, Bizarre has stuffed plenty of new information on the site, covering all aspects of the game - from characters and locations to multiplayer modes and the soundtrack. Pop over to our recent preview of The Club to find out more.

Also on show will be Geometry Wars: Galaxies for Wii and DS. It's another pair we've already had the chance to play with, which unsurprisingly resulted in a very glowing report.

For those of you who like to look to the past, the site also has developer diaries covering the creation of old titles Metropolis Street Racer, Fur Fighters, and Treasure Planet.

Pop over to the Bizarre Creations website to see the flashy new design for yourself.

They also inferred that everyone already knew what it was, ie. bikes are in the game.

Yeah, playable demo of The Club would awesome! The game really sounds exciting. I just hope they don't use that horrible 50 Cent song in the game :)

They'd probably have to rename the game "Da Club" too, though.

I bet chavs would drive sales up if it was called that.

    "hmmmm, bikes perhaps? "

The cover for PGR4 shows bilkes in the reflection of the car ;)

As others have said it's motorbikes in PGR4

Boom Boom Rocket was a huge let down and no amount of new music will fix its problems. Looking foward to seeing what The Club actually plays like. PGR is PGR, good but more of the same.

It could be that they won't make the 4th one a complete cop out on it's difficulty, like Gotham 3, but that they'll return it to its Gotham 2 roots, where you, shock horror, actually need to be GOOD at driving to pass the higher difficulties.

Or they could be making the online play SOCIABLE and FUN again.

    Fingers crossed anyway...

Yeah, I'd love to see a demo of The Club available next week! :) I'm really looking forward to more info on that being released, and will be making a bee-line for the Bizarre site, in mere moments.

@spongebob - I agree about fiddy being left well out of The Club, as that song's far too obvious, and doesn't fit with the style of the game at all, judging from the screens that have been released.
I'm sure N.O.R.E.'s "Banned from another Club" will be far more suitable, though.
    More Club coverage, EG. Thanks!

Although, this this press release reveals that The Club will feature original compositions, which is even better! :)

I don't know how I feel about there being bikes... Hmmm. I guess if they didn't add something that radical they were in danger of just being a better looking version of the last but with variable weather? But then that has worked for GT and in a way I'd have been happy with new tracks, new cars and variable weather. Bikes just seem like dodgy ground as it is such a fine balance to get these right and this is Bizarre's first stab at it.

Saying all that, I have a lot of faith in the guys at Bizarre, they haven't let me down before.
