This is how PC games will survive. This, Spore, WoW... tie the games core experience to the internet and force pirates to buy the software.♦

Games are better with online hook-ups and extra content anyway, so everybody wins :)

Definite buy!

I hope they pull off something nice for the pre-release stuff, although I do not care as long as the game is great - and I fully expect it to be.

Something very creative? Could be a subtle nod to the idea that the toolset could be released prior to the game, and people could have a go with it in a very "creative" sense?

I'm trying to think way back to the original NWN launch, and didn't the toolset launch before the game then too? Or was it just something simpler like the model viewer? I can't remember.

Hopefully the Dragon Age toolset has learned from the mistakes of the NWN 2 toolset that Obsidian shipped - it now takes so long to develop custom content that there's nothing like the breadth or quality of fan made content for NWN 2 as there is for NWN 1 (comparatively speaking that is - of course there's more content for NWN1, as it's been out years longer).

Looking forward to this; although I'd be inclined to go for it on console these days, the lure of the toolset may just nudge it back to PC territory for me, assuming Bioware can keep the PC specs required sensible.
