It's quite sad how Bioshock seems to have done damage to its reputation with the sequel and the multiplayer stuff. I wasn't a huge fan of the original but I respected the achievement it made and how it proved console FPS didn't have to be braindead shooters.

It could have gone into the books as an all-time classic, but people were too keen to exploit the brand and now there's a bit of a stain on its image. Shame, they should have just stuck with the original.

Bioshock was and will forever remain a stone cold classic in my eyes. Bioshock 2 was....er...interesting at most. Deep down I felt it was utter balls compared to the original, but I'll give 2K a bit of credit. I just pray that they leave the franchise alone now. Bow out with dignity instead of tainting it with another unneccesary release.

Talk of 2 being inferior is just bull, sure it lacked the same impact and lacked the story switch, but the damn game actaully PLAYED better. Like having sex for the first time with your girlfriiend, it doesn't necessarily get worse the second time around. (well, most of the times:p). Only thing I hated is that I couldn't backtrack like 1.

MP was alright I guess, but the way they handled it was fucking disastrous and they really dropped he ball there. I agree on that.

I thought BioShock 2 was actually the better game; I wasn't that blown away by the story in the first one either.
