Well this might just be worth looking into. Always like games with a certain original take to them.

This seems quite alright. Still, a demo on PSN would be nice.

The MP demo they put up for XBL however was a waste of time, in my case it put me off the game. So if that's what they'd release for PS3, you're better off without it.

Bargain bin methinks, not worth the asking price of $100+ AU.

Yeah agree with you there Disc. That MP demo was far too damaging for me (and alot of other ppl, i suspect)

Surely a snippet of the single player campaign would have been a better choice? I can only but wonder the marketing behind that decision...

I also played the MP demo as was utterly put off the game. Was ugly and just didn't feel right at all.

GRIN is a 7 developer, like Ubisoft. They make good games, but no one will remember them after a month.

A 7/10 from EG seems to suggest this game isn't too bad after all although it doesn't look like it's a classic or anything. Looking forward to playing this on my PC next week... it's only costing me £20. :)

I'll back the yapping about the MP demo. I may have missed something, but what's the point of that? I spent 5 minutes looking at a matchmaking screen that was going nowhere, knowing that even if I DID manage to get a game I'd be getting pasted whilst trying to figure out what the hell the buttons did or what the point of anything was.

Completely shit idea, that.

Both Games TM and Edge gave this a 6?

Mmm, I had high hopes for Grin when they did Rearmed, but I think 3 IPs in a row might have been pushing it. I'd rather have they would have concentrated on this one and had ditched the whole Wanted crap.

Jeff Gerstman gave it 8/10.

edit: Normally i would buy this. But i have already won the probably not to good Terminator Salvation game with movie premiere tickets.
And i wonder how Prototype turns out. The UFC game is also tempting.

I agree with people's points that the demo was quite damaging, the swing mechanic did need to be explained before sending us to online slaughter.

But it still looks like an interesting game and I should be getting mine for the fabulous price of free if Mr. Bramwell and Capcom have kept to their word. (I won the BC:Rearmed Eurogamer level comp) :D

I think I'll rent this. I'm just a sucker for alternative travel routes. Assassin's Creed was one of my favourite games full stop, purely because I could perform impossible jumps around a city.

Seems like this is one of those love it or hate it affairs. Just read a review on a Norwegian site that gave it 5/10. The reviewer was apparently very frustrated by the bionic arm system and the aiming reticule being iffy.

Hoping for a SP demo of this on PSN, but so far I'm skeptical about this one.

Personally, based on my experience so far with the campaign (70% done) and the multiplayer demo (can't find games online right now)... I'd go higher than a 7.

I think it's great.

It does have a few sore spots but, all things considered, it' a slick, stylish and very unique shooter. It makes Gears feel far too... well... grounded.

This was pretty similar to my experience, and I'm yet another who was utterly put off by the multiplayer demo.

Several minutes faffing around in matchmaking then dropped into the middle of a deathmatch game not knowing what the hell was going on with the mechanics. A few players were clearly up to speed and had easy pickings charging around slaughtering everyone else. Changed server, same thing occured; a few guys absolutely caning everyone. So fuck that, quit and delete demo.

Which knobhead thought an MP-only demo was a good idea??

I hate MP-only demos of games when I'm far more interested in the SP campaign.

7/10 is good enough for me to pick up when it drops a little in price; been looking forward to this for a while, especially after the *superb* XBLA / PSN remake of the NES game!

I must admit, i picked up the multiplayer pretty quickly, once i just treated it as multiplayer version of the spiderman games. I def share people's annoyance ast having just a multiplayter demo though. It wasn't the most intuative thing to be thrown into.

all that build up and then a dull old 7

surely EG, you've been following it for so long that you almost couldve seen this coming, and hence not wasted so much time on previewing it?

Exact same opinion on the MP demo here. Who the he'll makes these obviously wrong business decisions? Whatever board member pushed for this hasn't a clue.

I was excited and interested in this game until I played the demo. I'll be waiting for a bargain priced copy too.

I like games that get 7/10. Games that score higher are often disappointing, games that score lower often suck. I know what I'm getting with 7/10.

I played the full game last night and didn't like it all that much. The main problem for me was I found his bionic arm annoying to use. The graphics are very average too.

This is actually a very good game, if you can put up with it's linearity and take it for what it is it's great as you gradually get better with the arm.

8.5 /10 for me, the cutscenes have that Capcom mix of ham and glitz, if it was a bit more openworld and didn't have the bloody loading screen every 2 minutes it could have been a true classic.
