Capcom has sold over 130,000 copies of Bionic Commando Rearmed via digital distribution, and producer Ben Judd reckons the sales are a message from consumers.
"That may not seem impressive compared to package titles that sell in the millions but compared to other digital titles that is a friggin JUGGERNAUT!" Judd wrote on the BCR blog.
"Consumers voted with their dollars. They basically have sent the message loud and clear: We are tired of meta-emulated crap. We want the titles of yesteryear to be paid the proper respect. We want them done right. And if the price is right, we'll buy," he added.
We agree with these sentiments, having been one of the contributors to BCR's impressive Metacritic/Gamerankings average with our 8/10 review.

Hmm... There surely isn't much of this on PSN, except maybe the Midway games. Still BC:R is great! |

@Doctor - I'd rather have that on a disk, no need for 900 mb downloads thank you.
@Trigger - Really? I'd agree it looked and sounded great, but that's where it ended for me. Give me a HD (Super) Ghouls n Ghosts, Turrican 2, Cybernator, MUSHA Aleste, Thunderforce 3, Strider, Revenge of Shinobi, ok I'll stop now. :P |

Shadow of the beast.. played that as a kid, I didn't get particularly far as you might have guessed, lol, hard as nails. I kept trying though.
Turrican is cool too, not sure which version it was but I loved it, kept coming back, but would always run out of bloody lives eventually, no matter how good I got. But yeah, the guy is right, more of these games would be welcomed. The added co-op and multi-player just makes BCrearmed perfect. And the price wasn't bad. |

Really don't get this game. The demo didn't help with it's hard sell approach screaming "Buy the full version!" at every opportunity, and I just couldn't get on with the controls.

@Menage: Good call on Strider, that's one of my all-time favourites. The Mega Drive version was the best, I think.
