Bigpoint making Battlestar browser MMO
Are you alive?
Bigpoint has announced plans to release a browser-based "tactical space combat and adventure" MMO based on Battlestar Galactica this autumn.
Battlestar Galactica Online will be playable on Syfy.com for a 30-day trial period, during which players will sign up as a human or Cylon, and is based on the Unity engine.
"For the first time ever, we're relying completely on Unity in order to offer our users fantastic game graphics right in their browsers," Bigpoint CEO Heiko Hubertz said.
The teaser site for the game is up now, and Bigpoint is discussing the game at GDC this week.

I'd bite someones arm off for a single player game like X-wing or Wing Commander or even that Battlestar game on Xbox. It would give me a reason to buy a new flight stick
Any good ones out there these days?

It might give you a reason, but until somebody actually MAKES a flight stick for the Xbox, I am afraid you will continue to be dissapointed.

I don't want another space MMO either. But thinking about it, a scripted BSG game with human users piloting the various ships in the fleet against an AI Cylon attacker has real potential.
No one would want to pilot the ore refinery though.
