BFBC2 gets Vietnam-set DLC expansion
Dead Space 2, MoH and its beta dated.
EA has announced a DLC multiplayer expansion pack for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 set in Vietnam. It will be released in winter 2010.
A very short teaser was shown of jungle action set to a Creedence Clearwater Revival tune. The press release confirms that you'll be able to play as either US Marines or North Vietnamese Army.
Meanwhile, Medal of Honor was confirmed for a 12th October release date, and Dead Space 2 will be released on 25th January 2011 (28th in Europe).
A multiplayer beta for Medal of Honor will open on 21st June across all three formats: PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
A live 24-player multiplayer match was played on stage at EA's press conference. It took place in a tight, close-quarters urban map in the dusty streets of Kabul and looked very reminiscent of Modern Warfare multiplayer.
These and other EA action games will be tied together by a new web loyalty scheme called EA Gun Club. Gun Club will reward gamers for playing EA games with exclusive news, early demo and beta access and in-game items (guns, probably).
A trailer soundtracked by Steve Lee's country song "I like guns" showed games like Battlefield Heroes and Dead Space 2 as well as Bad Company and Medal of Honor.
Bad Company 2 VIPs who sign up to Gun Club and pre-order Medal of Honor will get early beta access.
See you on the beach! Wait...

Even if it is new - it's coming about six months too late. I retired it about a six weeks ago, tired of the same maps.

Awesome news - if we're talking MP maps. Please don't be just a couple of campaign missions.

Can't wait for this. Hope it's the full nod to BFV that's well overdue.

I might play shooters but I don't want to be in a gun club, virtual or otherwise.

I've just about had enough of Bad Company 2 now... the tiny maps, balancing issues and lack of vehicular mayhem on an appropriate scale have made me lose interest. I'm not really interested in DLC or 'loyalty schemes' given EA's lost that with the quality of the content in their their so-called 'VIP' program.

Just the soundtrack alone coupled with the mayhem will be worth the price... such fond memories of BF:V whose soundtrack was stunning and one of my all time favourites.

People who play this game must have taken some severe beatings on mw2,and are too scared to return.I can't think of any other reason why this piece of garbage is played.
