DICE's free-to-play deathmatch romp Battlefield Heroes is celebrating a year in active service this week with some free bonuses for players.

As VG247 reports, entering a promo code will net you a two-day boost to Victory Points and XP, and the chance to get more Battle Funds (i.e. micro-payment currency) for your money.

The code's 49TP-ZJB7-NVTR-P8AE and you can enter it at the Battlefield Heroes store.

I'm surprised this is still going to be honest. Played it for a while but it's too simplistic.

Seriously wonder how successful this microtransaction model has been for this title.
