Bethesda dates WET for September News

Xbox 360 PlayStation 3 News by Robert Purchese

31 July, 2009

Bethesda has announced that PS3 and Xbox 360 action game WET will be released on 18th September.

WET revolves around twin-pistol and katana toting heroine Rubi Malone, who leaps around levels like Jackie Chan, slowing time as she performs successful acrobatic manoeuvres.

There's a vague story about finding a man that left you for dead, but WET doesn't take itself to seriously, opting instead for a pacey and accessible action romp.

Check out our hands-on impressions of WET to find out more.

Is WET an acronym? It sounds like teh stupidest name for a videogame since Irritating Stick.

You sound like a pretty negative guy. No wonder WET sounds like a stupid video game name to you.

On a slightly more serious note, I think the name does it justice. Just look at the protagonist. And the company's name.

The combination of a female protagonist and the name WET will subconsciously fuel all manner of male fantasies.

Or maybe that's just me.

I was gonna say WTF has Bethesda got to do with WET, but digging a little deeper (gaghah) I see the comedy there.

What's your Twitter @name? I wouldn't mind hearing what you've got to say on other matters.

An attractive female protagonist? We can expect a low scored review from Ellie then.

Apparently it's meant to allude to wet work. I don't know who'd make that connection without being explicitly told though.

Seems to be related to the Wet: The Sexy Empire games which were utter garbage.

Read the second paragraph of the product description. Best description for a game, ever!

Not to mention that the developers apparently abbreviate their company name as A2M - unless that's just something Eurogamer has been doing repeatedly in various articles to make us giggle even more :).
