Bethesda dates Fallout 3: The Pitt News

PC Xbox 360 News by Tom Bramwell

5 March, 2009

Bethesda Softworks has announced that The Pitt, the second downloadable expansion for the PC and Xbox 360 versions of Fallout 3, will be released on 24th March.

As previously announced, The Pitt will share the same price point as January's Operation: Anchorage: 800 Microsoft Points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.60).

For those who haven't been keeping up, The Pitt takes you outside the Capital Wasteland into Pittsburgh, where you become embroiled in a dispute between slaves and their owners, and has more in common with general Fallout 3 gameplay than the combat-heavy Anchorage instalment.

You can read more about it in today's Fallout 3: The Pitt hands-on preview. We also have three new shots in a Fallout 3: The Pitt screenshot gallery.

Look out for our review on or around release.

First!

Gah! It's always LATE March! Late this, late that! Why can't it be EARLY April? :-)

Looking forwards to this. I enjoyed Operation Anchorage, and this should be good too.

I thought OA was really boring, but it was well worth playing for the EPIC unique loot.

So when's the last instalment coming out? Only one I'm interested that one so OF COURSE they have to release it last.. and not reveal a release date. Grr.

I have to buy more points now dammit. The delayed release caused me to buy a bunch of XBLA games! Can't wait though.

hmm.. guess i'll have gotten my ass out of the limbo that is Anchorage by then. At least this gives me some sort of incentive... Im really hoping for great things and a return to form after the borefest anchorage...
