EA has announced that free-to-play online shooter Battlefield Heroes has two million users, sauntering past the milestone in three months.

To celebrate, the publisher has a meaty update planned for next week, Heroes of the Fall, which we partly told you about earlier this month when we discussed a Gunner revamp and a new ranking system.

Battlefield Heroes - playable by anyone on almost any machine right now - is an action wargame with persistent elements and microtransaction-based dressing-up, which means your Nazi-like trooper can sport a twiddly moustache and Hitler hairdo.

Same. I couldn't get it to work on my kick ass laptop running Vista. When I played on the Desktop with XP... thought it was lame. Not a dent in Quake Live.

Haven't tried it yet myself. Does it work on Macs? And does QL work on Macs yet either?
