New songs announced for Band Hero News

PlayStation 2 DS Xbox 360 PlayStation 3 Wii
News by Robert Purchese

2 October, 2009

Activision has written down some of the songs set to appear in Band Hero later this year.

As it's a pop spin-off, the likes of Hilary Duff, The Kooks and Robbie Williams are expected. However, Activision is also recruiting David Bowie and Roy Orbison to ensnare an older generation.

Band Hero is due out this autumn on DS, PS3, PS2, Wii and Xbox 360. Each of those will get new and slightly-improved instruments - as announced yesterday - although there's no concrete date nor price to go by just yet.

So are they going to remove the reference to Anal Sex from the Robbie Williams song? Because I cant see how that is family friendly...

EVANESCENCE!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Purchese you cow how dare you only put a full stop after Evanescence where the others have exclamation marks, implying that Evanescence isn't the most exciting one on there. BIAS! EUROGAMER IS THE BIAS.

Hey, if no one wants to be excited about Diet Nightwish/Lacuna Coil Lite, that's their prerogative

Fallen is a great album, if they put the whole thing up as DLC I'd buy it.

Bastards! How could they put The Impression that I Get in this pile of crap instead of putting it in RB/GH5 or making it DLC for either.

The only songs I'd possibly want are already available on other games. That, plus the inclusion of Lily Allen = No Sale - and that's coming from someone who buys pretty much all music games.

There's a couple of tracks there that I'd like to play but since there seems to be a fair amount of cross-over with Lego Rock Band/existing RB dlc I reckon I'll just pick up Lego:RB and export its song list instead. Hopefully the additional BH tracks will show up as RB dlc.

Maybe the disc will be rippable to GH5? I'm probably thinking of Lego Rock Band but I thought I heard that. Rent it perhaps?

From what I understand, you can import GHWT and GH5 (and possibly Greatest Hits) tracks including DLC in to Band Hero but not the other way around.

I'll probably end up getting one of these poptastic guitar games but Lego Rock Band is looking slightly better at the moment.

LazyDan: perhaps their Jesus-freakery negates the need for Satan's symbol ... the exclamation mark, or 'bang' if you must, or 'pling' (you know who you are)

You got a link to that please Hermoid?

I'm suprised how much I like that list. More than most of the GH's.

They'll get sued for false advertising unless they rename this game 'The Cavalcade of Shit'.

To be fair, there are more songs on there that I like (or at least would enjoy singing/playing) then there are in GH5.
