Band Hero demo on Xbox Live
Clutch of songs, modes to play.
Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb has announced the arrival of a Band Hero demo on Xbox Live.
The file is 534MB and contains playable tracks by Finger Eleven ("Paralyzer"), Katrina & The Waves ("Walking on Sunshine") and Taylor Swift ("Picture to Burn"). Party Play and Sing-Along modes are available.
Band Hero is the pop spin-off form the metal-heavy Guitar Hero series, featuring playable characters Adam Levine (Maroon 5) and Taylor Swift.
Retailers agree upon a 6th November release date, although we can't find solid confirmation. We're checking with Activision.

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean everyone else doesn't. Or are you one of these people who thinks artists become shit the second they get a song in the charts?

You can't play the guitar track with a controller (that stopped when GH:WT came along), but you can sing using a standard 360 headset.
You can play GH3 with a controller, and it works well enough (a lot like Amplitude really) until you need the orange button.
Edit: detail - I'm talking about the PS3 version of GH3. I assume the 360 is the same, but I don't know for sure.

You can use, IIRC, an Xbox 360 headset plugged into a standard controller to sing, but to play any of the instruments, you're going to need the peripherals.

Brilliant little game.
