Well - just give it some time. There were like 3 or 4 updates during the pre-load period and 2 updates since Friday when the game has been released so Dylan is trying his best. =)

It seems that Audiosurf has gained a LOT of attention. You can see it indirectly by the score servers being constantly overloaded and that it's already very hard to find a song that has no high-score entries. Hell, somebody played Audiosurf with songs by Johnny Cash. :-D

The score servers were better last night, but they certainly are taking a pounding. I woke up on Sunday to find my email account spammed with messages that I'd been dethroned as the top scorer for half a dozen obscure songs. The fact that it's a cheap buy (£6 with tax) is almost certainly one of the reasons so many are taking the plunge.

Awesome game, bought it friday and although there are bugs they do not stop the game being a visual pleasure.

Edit: Didn't know it sent you emails never had a high score though :(

This game is unbelievably awesome. You can play it totally relaxed in the mono racing mode. It works great with classical music which is way more dynamic than your standard rock/pop...

This game would be my IGF winner if I would have to choose... the best of the bunch!

Someone care to tell me what restrictions there are in the demo? I'm a little disappointed that there isn't any direct downloadable demo of this. I want to try it out, but I don't want to have to download Steam and install Audio-surf, only to realise that it's too restricting to get a feel of the game...

Demo lets you play 4 tracks, i think these are any of your choice but you have the orange box soundtrack to try out with it anyway.

It's a great game and definitely deserves some recognition at the IGF, though having played the first chapter of World of Goo I doubt Audiosurf will win the grand prize because Goo is just sublime and that little bit more inventive (oh and there's Crayon Physiscs too).

Still Audiosurf is fantastically addictive. I have to confess to a moment of joy when I saw that someone else had played the Angel Summoner and BMX bandit song from Mitchell and Webb!

A good mix of nice relaxing casual modes and ridiculously tough twitch gaming or a bit of puzzling if you prefer stretches out the concept and keeps it fresh for longer than you'd expect.

Plus I've yet to play a song that didn't feel just, well . . . right. You have to play it to understand!

I just tried this, it was bloody amazing, the most innovative thing i've seen in a while. I just knew people would be upping youtube vids, its one of those games...

If you have an Intel Mac, this is the game that Boot Camp was made for. It's completely amazing.
