Atari financials leak 2008/2009 line up

NWN2 expansion, Airborne Rangers, more.

Atari has said that it plans to ship Alone in the Dark for PlayStation 3 during its 2008-2009 fiscal year, which begins in April and ends next March.

The company's unaudited financial results for the nine months ended December 07 also reveal that a second Neverwinter Nights 2 expansion pack is due out in the same period.

Furthermore, there's talk of a PS3, 360 and PC game called Airborne Rangers due out by next April. Perhaps it's a modern update of the Microprose one. Atari says a formal announcement is expected soon.

The financial document also lists a number of other games due out before next April: Panoramix Brain Trainer and Lucky Luke: Dalton for DS; Hogs of War 2 for DS, Wii, PS2 and PC; Asterix at the Olympic Games for 360, and My Horse & Me 2 for DS, Wii, PC, PS2 and 360.

A spokesperson for the publisher told us there were a number of titles not listed on the document, too. It plans to unveil them one by one in the coming weeks, and apparently there are one or two you hardcore lot will like.

It follows comments made a month ago by Infogrames/Atari big boss Patrick Leleu, who said the hardcore market was becoming too competitive and that making the games was costing more and taking too long.
