Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood late 2010
Adds new story and multiplayer.
Ubisoft has announced that Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood will ship on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in late 2010.
This is the episodic instalment that brings multiplayer to the series.
The single-player story follows ACII hero Ezio in another battle with the Templar Order. He'll begin as a Master Assassin, command the entire Brotherhood and take the fight to Rome, where Pope Roland Ratzinger lives.
Multiplayer reverses roles and has us control Templars via the regression chair at fictional baddie-company Abstergo. You'll be able to choose from a variety of characters, each with their own signature weapon and techniques.
Ubisoft promises different game modes, but doesn't go into detail.
"Shadows and dust, Maximus!" Er wait hold on.

I don't see how the current combat system will work though. Will it just be a case of two people constantly countering attacks? Will it be stealth kills only? I guess we will have to wait and see but, personally, I don't think the current combat system would work in MP.

Maybe adding faking to the combat would go towards countering the counters. I don't think it would be too hard to broaden the combat system into something passable for versus play. Making it actually good may be more challenging.
