Assassin's Creed 2 to arrive in November News

PC PSP DS Xbox 360 PlayStation 3 Wii
News by Ellie Gibson

22 May, 2009

Gamestop executive David W. Carlson has revealed what we've got to look forward to in the run-up to Christmas.

Speaking in an earnings call, the bossman said we can expect Tekken 6 and BioShock 2 to arrive in October.

"Then going into November with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Assassin’s Creed 2, and we believe there’s a couple of Nintendo titles coming that have not been announced," he added.

"So, it looks like actually a very, very strong fall and holiday season."

GameStop is of course a US chain, but release dates for titles like these tend to be broadly global nowadays. Here's hoping he's not just speculating.

Tekken 6, I don't think it's going to big enough to mention along side BS2, Ac2 and MW2 (I see a pattern here:P).

I see the article now, but I still see no reason for excitement.

The fact that that list is very, very strong strong and the best the year has to offer just illustrates how blockbuster games are usually not my thing these days :(

Yay! 4 sequels.

Not saying they won't be good, but it shows how safely publishers are playing it these days.

So the debacle of last year of too many major titles coming out at christmas is comtinuing this year... if i was a publisher i really wouldnt be looking at October, November or December for any other titles than those... otherwise i suspect some poor selling titles.

I will be getting AC2, Bioshock and COD, so its going to be another expensive xmas.
