Seems at first glance that the 360 shots are crisper but does this just mean that the PS3 shots were done with higher anti-aliasing?

Also 360 shots seem to have higher contrast over the PS3 ones. Again, is this just a setting?

The 360's Bump Mapping is working better than the PS3. But then you must remember the shine of Perfect Dark Zero.

Not at all in answer to all of the above. Reasons below.

Obviously you need to go to view the original before we even begin.

Screen shot one

Look at Altair's...

1) Robe at the back of his head
2) The black and white straps the outline his torso
3) Easiest to see the difference, his boots, blurry mess on PS3.

Contrast

A lack of contrast makes it more difficult to spot the lower res on the textures and might actually look better than at the same contrast levels as the 360.

Background

1) people in the background barely look like they are from the same generation of games console.
2) Texture on wall by the wall where the guard is stood against, and the cover on the box on the roof on the fist building in front, and the distant rock face in top left.

You could go on for hours but there really is no need, it is easy to see, for this game at least, that the 360 is the better version. This is before frame rates are taken into consideration, which by all accounts are better on the 360 too.

**Anyone playing on a CRT set ( or HDtv set 32" or below, playing from over 3 meters away) can obviously disregard any of these comments with regard to the Gfx fidelity.

ok i just noticed something in shot 6 that looks really odd. Check the flag at the top left of the screen on the PS3 shot. Now look at the wall just to the right of the flag near the top of the screen. There's a clear line where the depth of field blur is on/off. This is most prevalent if you follow the wall up from the guard in the background. Maybe this is as much as an issue with the 360 but it's simply that the blur is less to start with on the 360 so the effect is less noticeable overall.

Could just be a screen-grab issue?
