Fallout to make console debut

On PS2 and Xbox

PC RPG series Fallout is making the transition to consoles, Interplay and US distributor Vivendi have announced. The new title, Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel will appear on PS2 and Xbox in Q4 2003, and has been shaped to best fit the console systems.

As with the PC versions, Fallout on PS2 and Xbox will allow players (one or two) to fight their way through a devastated planet in the aftermath of nuclear holocaust. Brotherhood of Steel begins after the first title as players struggle to overcome a sinister plot to mutate the remainder of the human race.

"The game play is more attuned to the console platform, stressing more action and combat than the PC versions which placed a greater emphasis on RPG elements or strategy," executive producer Scot Lane commented.
