Nintendo brings Hamtaro to GBA

It was only a matter of time...

Hamtaro is coming to GBA, says Nintendo, and it's got an equally silly name. Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Heartbreak (yuck) is said to be similar in design to its GBC sibling, Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite!, which was released earlier this month. That's about all we know.

However, Hamtaro is by no means guaranteed success. Although historically Nintendo does know how to pick 'em, the GBC Hamtaro failed even to make the Game Boy Color Top 20 according to the latest ChartTrack figures - suggesting that loveable hamsters on a quest to learn Hamspeak aren't quite the goldmine that was anticipated.

Then again, Sly Raccoon isn't in the PS2 Top 20 either, and that's a top game, so who knows what's going on?
