APB minimum specs revealed
2Ghz, 2GB, 20GB, 7800.
Realtime Worlds has revealed the minimum PC specifications you'll need to play its online crime game, APB.
You can find them on the official FAQ - or below:
- Core 2 Duo 2Ghz or equivalent
- 2GB RAM (3GB for Vista64 / Windows 7 64)
- nVidia GeForce 7800 - 256MB or equivalent
- 20GB hard disk space
You'll need an internet connection, obviously, and a headset and mic are recommended.
APB is released on 2nd July and comes complete with 50 hours of play; after that, you'll need to pay as you go, or buy an unlimited access subscription.
There's a "Keys to the City" event offering free early access from 10th to 19th June. You might be able to get keys for that somewhere. Keep an eye out.
Tons more info at the APB gamepage.

(I put blame mostly on the RAM and then graphics card, CPU of 1.83Ghz Core2Duo seemed to be fine.)

NDA buddy, anyone who is enjoying wont say anything as they don't want to be cut off. Anyone who does say anything will be negative and bias. Wait for a key then give it a go.

Well yes it does say that...
And on another note, Travis looks like a proper gimp in that advert, better than the minority report one though.

The only problem i can see is the ram, as for alot of games 2gb is fine but ram is the easiest and cheapest way to upgrade your system so really should be at 4gb anyway.
I had a beta key and i was put off by the registration process to be honest it was so annoying that wouldnt take any my passwords for example why did they need to be longer than 10 letters.

Let's just say that I wouldn't bother upgrading your computer if you don't meet the requirements.

I realise what they say the minimum specs are but really, what PC owner doesn't go and try to run games on machines well below min req anyways? ;-p

But then the beta didn't have any graphical settings prior to start-up, aside from maybe messing around with files without any real guides on how to do this. Presumably the final game has low-quality modes for textures, effects, models and the like.
