It certainly looks that way.

It's looking increasingly likely that Nintendo will be unveiling Animal Crossing for Wii at E3 next week.

The latest evidence has appeared on the blog of Tom East, who edits Official Nintendo Magazine.

"Those of you who have read the new issue... Should already know that Animal Crossing Wii will be unveiled at the conference," he wrote. And perhaps those of you who haven't should know now too.

Meanwhile, Go Nintendo is reporting Animal Crossing Wii has appeared on a release schedule for Nintendo Norway. Apparently it's out in 2008, along with the intriguing-sounding "Wii Music/Wii Orchestra".

Of course, Nintendo's confirmed nothing so far. But their E3 press conference is on Tuesday, so there might not be long to wait.

I really doubt Europe will see Animal Crossing in 2008.

Will get something to take it's place..most probably something extremely crap while USA/JAP get all the goodness this Christmas.

To be fair, we got Mario Kart as a replacement to brawl and although to most people it's probabbly not quite as good, I wouldn't call it "crap"

It will take them 18 months to localise it for Europe.

@gingerlink - we got Mario Kart 2 weeks before the US - how long did they have Brawl before us?

Maybe it's been taking this long to arrive BECAUSE they've been localising it for Europe for a simulatanous release over all territories.

I've just stopped laughing at myself long enough to say that I very much doubt that, but you never know
