Don't the japanese like to sit on their couches anymore? Why are the two main consoles doing so badly?

Decent sales for the 360 this week. Still last, but not by a long way though.

Perhaps the Japanese Animal Crossing advert isn't as nauseating as the UK one? "Hi Sarah, ooh I love you shirt!"

Is it just me, or are at least seven of the top 10 there rehashes?

Do the Japanese not even like new games?

I haven't seen the Animal Crossing advert (don't watch much TV), but if its anything like the Rednapp family one it would annoy me immensely.

Proof that the Japanese don't want originality they want a game they've already bought twice with a few new features.

Hollow phrases like 'innovation' and 'originality' are only there for reviewers to explain low scores if they can't find better words to explain them.

there's originality and innovation, then there's releasing pretty much the exact same game as the previous 3 incarnations

Nice return on it's development costs, which I'd estimate at about £38.

Solid numbers again for the 360, that would have been unthinkable a couple of years ago

Eh? I'd say that's a universal currency judging by the average gamer's addiction to sequels

You don't think if you scan some Jap forums, there might actually be purchasers who have not played it before?
I thought the idea of a rehash, was to sell it to those who didn't buy it first time around.
