AMD and Valve hold hands
Free Steam for Radeon owners.
Hardware giant AMD has signed a meaty deal with Valve to offer Radeon graphics cards owners free games.
Your card will be automatically detected when you sign up for a Steam account over on the website, giving you access to free copies of Half-Life 2: Lost Coast and Half-Life2: Deathmatch.
Steam will also be bundled with new Radeon products in the future, and those of you buying a new 2900 XT card will be treated to free downloads of Half-Life 2: Episode 2, Portal and Team Fortress when they're released later this year.
Steam is a digital distribution solution that was unleashed by Valve back in 2002. Since then it's gained significant ground, recently boasting that it had passed more than 13 million active users.
Head over to the Steam website for more information.

It only checks once, but each card can only be redeemed once, too. You'd better make sure that it's owner doesn't mind missing out on free stuff.
