Oh dear. There was never much doubt this would be arse, but secretly I hoped Rebellion would shock us all and make good on this somewhat unsuitable platform.

How odd, I was playing AvsP on the Jaguar at the weekend and wondering when the next craptacular version was due out.
The Jaguar game was, and still is, great fun to play. Shame they cannot make a game of that quality these days. |

Yep. Oddly, I think it's a PSP-only game. groovychainsaw - "Didn't they make this from scratch in 9 months? Wasn't that the main reason they were hired for this....?" Quite possibly - I was reading an interview with a Rebellion man in this month's Edge, and he says how they churn out games in record time, sometimes just a matter of months. Still, I'd rather have an excellent game which took three years to develop than shitty nine-month-developed games like this. |

Requiem seems essentially to be Renegade Squadron minus infrastructure multiplayer and minus all the interesting weapons.

And then at the end of each episode, something happens that makes them think that they're perhaps not so very different after all. But then Steve Aliens spoils the moment by tripping over or having his trousers fall down and things go back to normal.

Seriously, I don't read Ellie reviews anymore.
You click on the review on the front page. You see Ellie on the top right and think "oh, a shit game then" and scroll down to see this confirmed in the score. It takes about 5 seconds and a lot more efficient than actually reading the whole thing to find out why it's a shit game. |
