Most depressingly, this was developed by X-Wing/TIE Fighter genius Larry Holland's company, Totally Games.

Doesn't read like a 4, to be honest. Great graphics, flawless controls, co-op, 5 possible characters, character customization... Lots of good points. Ok, repetition and lack of challenge sound bad (though the way they are explained reminds me a lot of Diablo, and I loved that one), but 4 bad? I don't know.

I love the way there is an ad link to Sega's Alien Syndrome website on this review page!

Not really. And, anyway, it's not like the Master Chief isn't the most generic game character ever (or similar to the Doom marine).

(I don't know what I'm doing in this thread, though, I haven't even played the game. And it's on the PSP so I don't think I ever will.)

Space Giraffe has a secret score of 5/10, EG just don't want Minter going off on them like he did at the OXM review, so they're waiting for him to go on holiday before the put the review up.

Shame about this game, I enjoyed the Game Gear version many years ago.

The PS2 Shinobi was worth a punt, you bastards. Not Ninja Gaiden, I'll grant you, but a far cry from, say, Death by Degrees.

Where's the Two Worlds review? Gamespot gave it a 7, so I'm just waiting for you guys and IGN to weigh in before deciding if I should buy it or not.

What's with no screenshot puns?
Have you got bored with them? This is becoming a pattern.

Why do you need to know what someone else thinks about Space Giraffe? Go download the trial and find out for yourself!

Or are you all just waiting to troll the comments page for it, when it gets a score you dont agree with!?

SG is a game that a fair few of us are really passionate about, and it's only natural that we want to hear what other people think about it - professional reviewers especially. If Eurogamer's Bioshock review was announced 3 weeks ago, and still hadn't appeared, the clamour in the comments threads would be unbearable - despite the fact that most of those people calling for it would have already finished the game. The fact that SG is so incredibly divisive only makes the no-show more intriguing.

Having said that I do reserve the right to call the reviewer a clueless cack-handed twat if it scores any less than I think it deserves should a review ever materialise ;)

Thank you for the concise explanation. Thats all I wanted to know.

Its nice that people can take the time to explain things, rather than hand out insults. Cheers.

Yeah like that certainly doesn't count as trolling or at least baiting. Anyway, I, too, meant that people are interested in the opinions of others. After all that's why we are here, isn't it?

4 does sound a little harsh. A PSP game with working camera and controls is a rare find to begin with. And if it's a little simple/ easy... well my impression is that most PSP titles fail to work because developers don't recognize the limitations of the platform - eg. a properly challenging PS2 game scaled down to 480x272 - and played with that weird little analog nub - usually winds up in the sell-back pile after an hour's frustration.

No I haven't played this, and yes it may be a real yawner... but from what I've seen the best portable games tend to be dead-simple.

So... how about a Dead Head Fred review. I bought based on word-of-mouth hype, and can't figure out why I'm supposed to like it. How about somebody at EG talks me into playing it?
