Alien Breed available on Steam now

PS3 version still to come.

Team17 has announced that Alien Breed: Impact is available on Steam, worldwide, now.

Impact is the improved version of Alien Breed: Evolution, which scored 7/10 when released on Xbox Live Arcade last year.

Team17 has taken on board the criticism levelled at Evolution and added an upgrades shop, redesigned aliens, co-op improvements and a free-trial prologue campaign.

Alien Breed: Impact costs £12.99. Head over to the Steam website to buy.

Pew pew pew.

Any chance of an updated xbox version? It is still on my list of "to buy" titles for co-op play, but this new version sounds much the better choice...

I quite enjoyed the demo of this I tried yesterday, but I still prefer the old Alien Swarm UT mod, and that was free.

Any chance of an updated xbox version?

Doubt it. We just paid to be beta-testers. Team17 have said we wont get it and that we still have a "complete" version of the game.

Not buying episode 2 after this debacle. Once bitten...

    FINALLY!

Tried the demo the other night, it's pretty cool I really like it. Nice work Spadge and the rest of the team. Crap timing though, can't buy it for a week or two as the gaming budget for this month is gone :(

Both games are complete but one is more complete than the other :p

£12.99, a significant markup on the 1200 MSP and that's on Steam, the PSN price is likely to be even higher based on Team 17's previous form.

If the PSN version is marked above in similar fashion to the steam one then it's going to prove a tough sell, a late release long after the hype and a higher price tag, can't really say I'm too excited myself.

    Not on Mac, blast.

Ah well, PS3 version it is.

Still not as fun as the original. :( Think it is lacking atmosphere.

Wow. This came out of nowhere. I was under the impression the PSN version was coming before the PC. Hopefully it isn't too long for the PSN version now, I'm bloody itching for this now. Nostalgia is certainly getting the better of me.

Team 17 don't seem to care much for PSN. Where's Worms 2 Armageddon as well? Been over a year now hasn't it?
