Age of Conan will tie in with new film News

Speaking at the Leipzig Games Convention, Funcom's Erling Ellingsen confirmed that the company's Age of Conan MMO will tie in with the new Conan film being produced by Lionsgate.

"The movie is set for release next year, and it's going to be a huge movie. Lionsgate recently announced that they're putting a hundred million dollars into it," Ellingsen said. No cast or director is attached to the film yet, however.

"We have a very close relationship with the guys making the movie," Ellingsen continued. "I had lunch with the producer just the other day. We're talking to them all the time.

"Yes, we will tie the two together."

Ellingsen also detailed forthcoming free updates to Age of Conan, and teased the first expansion pack, due next year.

yes that film wont be out next year... not if they intend to spend $100 on it (is that million or just hundreds).

If arnie cant be in it (I know hes old, but hes still cool and probably could pull it off), then Kevin Sorbo? that guy from Andromeda would be perfect.. totally agree with DB2K there.

At least they are not afraid to put blood and guts into their films. What would really make the film crap would be making it into another PG12 family flick like the scorpion king.

Probably get released in the same state of the game - 35% done, and make the rest of the story up yourself :p
