Anyone who plays Advance Wars like a true fan - will be switching the animations off ASAP.
Can not wait - still playing the DS version's maps trying to get all the medals.

And yes, animations will be being turned off instantly.
Still... not too sure about the new angle... We'll see.

However it's also got a little yellow triangle with what looks like an A-10 Plane in it. New unit?

As for Dark Conflict, as awesome as the game will undoubtedly be, I have to confess: I despise this new moody brown "serious" approach they've taken all of a sudden. The bright colours, cutesy sprites, cartoonish animation, fun and memorable character designs and catchy, infectious music was all part of what made this series stand out from the pack. Why trade in all that goodwill for some lame "mature" angle that looks drab and forced? As I say, I have no doubt that the core gameplay will be as solid as ever, so it's still a must-buy, but I can't see any reason why Nell, Andy and co. had to be sacrificed for this run-of-the-mill post-apocalyptic po-facedness. :(
